Activities Volunteer for Barry Wellbeing Café

This organisation is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to set up new activities at our Wellbeing Centre for older people. Whether you have experience in teaching art, leading exercise classes, providing health screenings, or offering tech support, all ideas and talents are welcome!

Examples of Activities:

  • Art Classes: Unleash creativity and bring joy through painting, drawing, or crafting

  • Exercise Classes: Promote physical health with yoga, aerobics, or gentle stretching sessions

  • Health Screenings: Utilize your nursing background to offer valuable health checks and advice

  • Tech Support Sessions: Help older adults navigate their phones and tablets, providing advice and troubleshooting

Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is 4 hours per fortnight for each activity.  There is a choice of says available, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, all afternoons and are negotiable with the organisation.
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training:  Full training is provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion and 2 references.
