In the wake of Brexit, changes to immigration law have had a significant impact on the rights and entitlements of migrants in the UK. This training session will provide you with an understanding of these changes and equip you with essential knowledge on visa rights and entitlements. This training is an OISC Level 1 course, will be suitable for advisors delivering Level 1 advice, or those beginning their journey to delivering immigration advice.

By attending this training, you will gain insights into:

  • The current immigration landscape post-Brexit.

  • Visa types and their requirements

  • Migrant rights and entitlements to public services, including healthcare, housing, and education

  • How to support and guide migrants to ensure they understand and can apply to receive available services and support

  • How migration status links to UK Government Immigration Acts

  • The support needs of migrants, regardless of their immigration status, and where the Social Services and Well-being Act may need to be engaged to provide support
