Volunteer as a Digital Champion

Do you have skills in digital inclusion? Would you like to help older people learn new skills to be able to access online community groups?

Sporting Memories Digital Champions will engage with our members to support them in learning IT skills to help them access our online clubs.

• You will chat through step-by-step how to use their device and explain different features, increasing their confidence and independence

• You will provide on-going technical support to assist them when problems arise

This is a vital role to help include more older people in a digital way; reducing their loneliness and isolation.
We can provide training for this role but a basic understanding of electronic devices would be beneficial.  You can take part in this opportunity from anywhere

Time commitment: Negotiable with the organisation
Expenses reimbursed: Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedures: An informal discussion, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
