A deserved celebration of remarkable volunteers for Trustees Week

Trustees Week (1st – 5th November) is that time of the year when we can reflect upon and celebrate the incredible efforts of those volunteers who are the heartbeat of charities and voluntary groups around the country.

These past 18 months of living with Covid-19 have been dreadfully tough for the vast majority of us, and yet this is certain – it would have been tougher still without the help and support of the amazing groups and charities that make up our sector, and exist solely to help people.

There is no better example of the kindness, generosity and spirit of trustees than to look at how quickly groups established and formed almost overnight once we entered lockdown. All to support the most vulnerable in their communities. In what can feel like an increasingly divided world, the example set by these remarkable trustees should serve as an inspiration to all.

At GVS, we’re humbled to be able to work and support those who are often operating behind the scenes. These volunteers go above and beyond to help their communities and we want to take this opportunity to say an enormous thank you!

Please remember we are here to support you!
