Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club serving the community!

Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club was established in 1981. The club supports all disabled people in the community by running weekly swimming therapy sessions at Legacy Leisure Centre in Barry. The sessions are at 3.30pm every Saturday.

If you need swimming therapy for yourself, a relative or know someone who might benefit please do contact the club. It’s a great club, lots of friendly people it is a place where everyone is important.

Barry Beavers DSC are always open to recruiting.  There are volunteer various roles from helping in the swimming pools, to roles in different areas and ways  to help the club operate. The club provides training in volunteers for free where required.

The club has trained Halliwick Swimming Therapy Instructors who run the pool sessions, there are always opportunities to progress within the club. Please have a look at the attached video link below to give you an insight into Volunteering in a disabled swimming club, it’s great fun too.
