Moondance Foundation - General Funding

The Moondance Foundation offers grants to organisations and causes that provide transformational changes in communities in Wales and beyond.

Objective of fund:

The objective of Moondance's funding is to prevent or relieve poverty, support the welfare and well-being of women, children, the elderly and the vulnerable in our society, improve health outcomes, raise educational standards and preserve our environment for future generations.

Moondance’s main focus is on organisations in Wales whose work falls into the following categories:

• Children

• Education

• Elderly

• Environment

• Health

• Relieving poverty

• Women

Moondance tries to be as flexible as possible and supports organisations that have a transformational impact.

Who can apply

We accept applications for funding from registered charities, constituted community groups, social enterprises, Community Interest Organisations (CIOs), Community Interest Companies (CICs) and other not-for-profit organisations.

Restrictions

Moondance does not support organisations whose primary activity is in the following areas: 

• research activities

• religious groups 

• political groups 

Moondance does not provide funding to individuals for health or educational purposes.  

Ideally, Moondance would like organisations to have been operational for over 12 months before the apply for funds.

We try to respond and issue the grant funding as quickly as we can, as we know how important this is for organisations.

If you have not heard within 12 weeks, you should assume that your application has been unsuccessful.
